If you’re looking for a rooftop bar that’s both upscale and worthy of the price, we highly suggest the Panorama Room located here on Roosevelt Island.
Located less than a 10 minute drive from The Octagon, the Panorama Room is The Graduate Hotel’s rooftop bar, offering handcrafted food and cocktails, as well as a strongly recommended brunch menu that is bound to impress any date, friend, family.
Here are three reasons to make a reservation at the Panorama Room.
The first reason is probably the most obvious. It’s local! Located right here on Roosevelt Island, it’s easy to take Main Street from The Octagon, all the way to North Loop Road where the Panorama Room is located within The Graduate Hotel.
Panorama Room is also notably a 5 minute walk from Roosevelt Island F train station.
Another reason to visit the Panorama Room is its aesthetic. The bar itself is fashioned within crystal clear floor to ceiling windows overlooking Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge with unobstructed views of the city skyline bound to keep your eyes entertained between drink and small plate orders.
While many rooftop bars are all about the ambiance while falling short on the food. Panorama Room is delightfully different in that the handcrafted dishes are absolutely delicious and well worth the $$-$$$ prices, especially if you have a brunch reservation.
Offering dishes like a Seafood Tower ($125) of lobster salad, poached red shrimp, east coast oyster crostini, shuk, and more, there’s also the Pork Belly Bites ($11) with vermont maple, and the Egg Benedict Bowl ($24).
Be sure to try the Hash Brown ($18), too. As many reviews have pointed out, this isn’t a McDonald’s hash brown. Instead, Panorama Room adds Siberian caviar, deviled quail egg, as well as herbed creme fraiche to make a perfectly square, crispy potato patty. Trust us. It’s delicious.
