Sail on the Hudson River – There’s nothing like a cool summer breeze out on the water! Take up a new hobby this summer while cooling off at the same time with Hudson River Community Sailing! The organization offers intro-to-sailing classes where you’ll learn the basics of sailing with other newbies. Check out the link below for lesion information and availability.
Beast Speedboat Thrill Ride – Be a tourist in your own city and cool off at the same time with the Beast Speedboat Thrill Ride. Cruise around the Hudson River at speeds up to 45 mph out on the water while cooling off from the mist off the water. See up close views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island while on the hour-long trip. Adult tickets for the ride start at $30 per person.
Stand up Paddleboarding– Head over to the West side of Manhattan to give a go at stand up paddle boarding with Manhattan Kayak and SUP. Located at 555 12th Avenue on the Hudson River, Manhattan Kayak and SUP offers stand up paddle boarding classes at all and rentals for all skill levels. Sign up for your program at your honest skill level to learn the ropes, or to enjoy your time out on the water with a group tour.
