Every winter seems to feel longer than the last, but it’s finally spring! In NYC that means the awnings are coming out, tables and chairs are being setup, and outdoor dining is returning to the sidewalks of NYC. While the weather can still be iffy in March, there’s sure to be a few warm days that will really get you in the mood for the sights and smells of spring. Try this local Upper West Side restaurant with outdoor eating to get you pumped for spring weather and getting outdoors again!
Nisi Kitchen– While Nisi might be relatively new to Roosevelt Island, its roots are actually part of a Roosevelt Island institution. The child of Trellis, the former Roosevelt Island mainstay, Nisi is the renovated and rebranded effort of a longtime Roosevelt Islander father/son team.
Much like Trellis, you can find a little bit of everything at Nisi. It’s menu is very similar to a diner, with dishes from cultures all over the world, or what we consider in New York to be an American menu. With its modern glass facade, even indoor dining at Nisi can feel like you’re out in the fresh air. However, they also have an extensive outdoor seating area now that the nice weather is returning.
Just a short walk down Main Street, Nisi is right in your Roosevelt Island neighborhood!
