Looking for a great restaurant to take your date this Valentine’s Day? Look no further. Here are three great restaurants in New York well worth checking out for Valentine’s Day 2023.
Address: 161 W 72nd St., Upper West Side
One of the most unique menus on the Upper West Side is crafted by Israeli chef Eyal Shani, and it’s always changing so you never know what new discovery you’ll find at North Miznon.
The menu features categories like “Grade A Cow And Lamb Fed In Flowered Fields” and “Wild Fish And Other Creatures From The Deep Sea.” The dishes themselves also have obscure names and descriptions bound to spark conversation like Beef Ossobuco, described as “ the most tender beef, as if your Italian nonna is cooking for you (for 2)” at $56. There’s also “The Best Branzino That I Ever Ate, The Roasted One” at $39. We really can’t tell what the “Journey Into The Head Of The Lokus” could be but at $63 it’s likely a sampling of seafood that’s well worth the journey. Learn more about North Miznon.
Address: 506 Franklin Avenue, Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn
If you’re looking for something completely different, make your reservation at Hart’s this Valentine’s Day for their annual “Love Stinks” menu. Last year, Hart’s served up a smelly menu of stinky cheese fondue, fried herring, beef tongue with puntarelle and anchovy, along with cranberry semifreddo. While the 2023 Love Stinks menu has yet to be released, Hart’s has already promised the menu’s return this year. Learn more about Hart’s in Brooklyn.
Address: 244 E 79th St., Upper East Side
While Sojourn describes itself as “the Upper East Side’s sexiest restaurant,” it is worth noting this intimate spot for culture, food, and wine, was voted Winner’s Choice for Vibrant Bar Scene on OpenTable for the Manhattan area. Here the food is great and the wine is even better. Try the 30 Day Dry Aged Strip Steak ($34) or the Roasted Long Island Duck Breast in red wine sauce ($32). Learn more about Sojourn.
